Wilder Girls by Rory Power 

   This story is set on an island where a contagious virus breaks loose at a girls boarding school. They call this disease the "Tox". This is the story of how they live their live with this terrible disease . Wilder girls was a wonder of surprises. When you first read the synopsis it is very vague and leads you to  wonder the mysteries that unfold during this novel. When the book ends it left me with a billion unanswered questions, that led me to creating my own ending. Although I must say that there is a lot of filler in this book that I feel is unnecessary, so if you find yourself in a reading slump halfway through the book I urge you to continue reading because it redeems itself in the end. Overall I feel like this is a wonderful book and each character has there own unique personality.    -Lillian

Our protagonist is the future queen of hearts and is a character you can easily fall in love with because of her passions, skills, and her unwillingness to follow her parents' wishes for her. She has such a kind heart and you end up rooting for her to succeed. At the end of the book, you are heartbroken for her and you can feel all of her emotions and anger. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak This book is narrated by death and deals with a lot of hitting matter. It follows a young girl German named Liesel and the life she lives while keeping a Jewish man in her basement. This story is set in the 1930s to the 1940s. There is so much character development and you really begin to fall in love with all of the characters. The middle of this story, to me, felt a tiny bit slow when you see Liesels day to day life. But when everything comes together in the end you are heartbroken and happy at the same time. Overall this book is beautiful and I really recommend that you read it and learn more about this time period.      -Paige

  Anna and the french Kiss by Stephanie Perkins- Anna and the french kiss is about a girl named Anna who gets sent to Paris for her senior year in high school and ends up falling in love. I loved this book and I found it wonderful and undeniably cheesy, but that is what made it good. I was hooked as soon as I read the first page, the chapters just kept flowing which made it hard to stop reading. I loved all the characters even when some of them made questionable decisions. The chemistry between the main characters was amazing, and it was wonderful to read about their growing love. I honestly loved this book and have nothing really bad to say about it other than I got annoyed with Anna a few times.   -Lillian
